Top 10% of HomeSmart Northern Colorado Real Estate Agents

2020 was an incredible year. It started out with business as usual in January. I helped two buyer clients move to Northern Colorado from New Mexico. Towards the end of February when these clients were ready to close on their homes in Wellington, Covid-19 reared its ugly head. Some clients could not travel to the closing in Fort Collins because their work restricted their movement. And so I learned that the rest of 2020 would consist mainly of “remote” closings.

The pandemic brought the convenience of buying houses and closing on them remotely…no longer did clients have to travel to a closing. Out of the 20 clients I helped in 2020, one even searched for houses with me remotely. They never set foot in the house they ended up buying until they moved into it. I went to view houses on my own with them over FaceTime or Zoom, and other clients had me video home tours and upload them to private links on my YouTube channel.

Interest rates dropped to the lowest they have been in decades. This has brought more buyers on to the market. I have heard that it could be 35-40% more buyers than the same time last year. In contrast, we had around 35-40% less listings than a year prior. Could this be because sellers are nervous to list during a pandemic and are waiting it out? I am not sure, but if you are wanting to sell your home, please call me ASAP. I have around 5 buyer clients waiting to buy your home!

The end of 2020 brought wonderful news to me. I was now one of HomeSmart’s Top 10% Real Estate Agents in Northern Colorado. It has been a pleasure to represent my buyers and sellers in 2020 in a very strange year. I am looking forward to helping new clients in 2021. Please let me know how I can help.
